News story that’s getting ignored because of Haiti and Conan. This is a big deal, folks. Essentially it allows corporations to give unlimited amounts of money to political campaigns. Please note that this is an opinion article, and as always I encourage you to read both sides and form your own opinions. My opinion: this is ridiculous and indefensible- the first amendment doesn’t and shouldn’t apply to corporations, and all this supposedly “freedom preserving” bill does is take power out of the hands of the people and into the hands of… well, the rich people.
